The National AYUSH Mission Kerala is the state-level implementation of the centrally sponsored National AYUSH Mission, launched by the Government of India in 2014. In Kerala, the mission commenced in 2015 under the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH). The mission aims to mainstream AYUSH systems into healthcare services, develop evidence-based AYUSH management protocols, and ensure the accessibility of quality AYUSH services across the state. Key initiatives include the establishment of AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers (AHWCs), capacity building through training programs, and promoting research and development in AYUSH disciplines. NAM Kerala also focuses on integrating AYUSH with the public health system to provide holistic healthcare solutions.
